Topic: How to knit a Baby Blanket.

General Purpose: To Inform

Specific Purpose: At the end of my presentation, the audience will Comfortably be able to knit a baby blanket.

Central Idea: That knitting a baby blanket is actually really easy even for beginners.

I. Introduction:

A. It's so amazing what we can do with our own hands, need a blanket? don't go out and buy one at the store create your very own at home! You know it's funny what life gives you in funny ways. Back in the 6th grade my school was was given the opportunity to have clubs to enrich youth. For girls we had the opportunity to pick jewelry club or knitting and all i wanted was jewlery club every girl did. The day came to pick clubs i just so happened to be sick and missed that day of school. I was stuck with knitting and i thought it would be so boring but once i started i could not stop i learned so many good traits and how fun it is to make something from scratch for the people you love.

B. Today we will see how easy is it to start a knit line, fill in the knit , and lastly tie it to finish it off.

C. In 2009 A Knitting specialist named Mrs. Williams joined my after school program to teach young girls like myself how to knit.

D. There are many benefits to knowing how to create your own clothes, such as scarves, hats, blankets. We sometimes get caught up in designers names that we lose that personally aspect of making things for people or even just ourselves. I find this to not only be a useful for creating clothes but also very relaxing.
