Motivational Plan
The three individuals in the motivational plan are all good employees that could use different levels of motivation. The individuals have similar characteristics and will continue to grow as employees. The motivational plan will be sure to give the employees an extra boost in future task performed at work. Once the plans have been put to use everyone will only improve as works and leaders.
Selena’s plan
The Self-efficacy theory would be a good step to improve the way that Selena performs at work. This employee is usually willing to preforms her job at a high success rate. Therefore, this theory will give maximum benefit for her. She is usually the leader at work over 5 to 8 other employees. With her the individual characteristics she possesses motivation is never really issue with daily task done at work. When presented with difficult task this employees will work even harder to complete the set goal. The best tactic is to be sure that the work is challenging and a little demanding. Once this type of work is put together for the employee work should come out great.
Reggie’s Plan
The reinforcement theory will be the best theory to motivate Reggie to perform at a higher rate. This theory is the opposite of the goal setting theory. According to Robbins and Judge (2011) “Reinforcement theory ignores the inner state of the individual and concentrates solely on what happens when he or she takes some action”. This tool can be good if the employee is willing to do the required work to be successful. The goal is mostly motivational in the since of rewarding one’s effort to complete work. You have to be careful though when trying to motivate people. According to na (2005) “because of their performance, if they wanted to take this year just for fun and not go as full-fledged,' Hansen said of a conversation earlier this season with her team. "They said, 'Yes.” With no promise in the future some people cannot be motivated.
