It is 6am in the morning and I am still working on 4 competitions, 2 projects and a research paper. On one hand I am trying to improve solid waste management in Ranchi and leveraging the power of renewable resources and in another I am creating a campaign to promote road safety by depicting Lord Ganesha with a helmet. In yet another project, I am trying to bring down cost of pharmaceuticals by providing more viable pricing options for the greater good of society and in another I am working on an app to provide mobility & agricultural vehicles to farmers. In one paper, I am writing the script for a movie to promote feminism and in another I am working for an e-commerce giant to promote cyber-security in India. All of these are opportunities, to make Ranchi better, to make India better . I have been blessed with qualities of perseverance and ability to function with minimal sleep, because of which I am able to handle and reflect upon my work, with the help and guidance of my peers and the institute. Being a manager in any field requires intense ability to handle pressure, maintain focus, have good relations, to have knowledge and to guide the organisation to have maximum impact on society. During my engineering days and even during school, I had been the head or monitor. So in my 16 years of experience as someone who was responsible for a whole group of diversified people and to collaborate and convince both the school , the faculty and the students had somehow prepared me in my journey of becoming a manager. I had additional held the posts for Cultural secretary, Literary co-ordinator, member of disciplinary committee, design co-ordinator, drama club and a lot more. My journey has been steady and enriching as I have interacted with thousands of people in many cities in India, During engineering, I shared a hostel with a lot of foreigner students, from Pakistan and Canada, to Vietnam & Mozambique. They shared enlightening ideas and had very unique approaches to life, religion, education and society. I also follow my passion for acting and have received accolades for doing documentaries/plays on terrorism and women empowerment. I may not have the brightest mind and the sharpest tongue. My humility, concern for my team/peers, care for the underprivileged and never-ending quest to find answers, qualify me to be the best student manager. My motto is to work hard and smart. My creativity leverages my analytical mind. I cannot wait for change, so i will bring change to the society. I aspire for a future where I win more hearts than contracts and bring joy to every life that I have touched. I believe in karma, speaking the truth and being respectful, even to my adversaries. Chanakya himself had emphasized on wit, sincerity and truthfulness. With all my willingness and ability, I thus believe that I am Chanakya, the best student manager.
