"Time and tide wait for none and before you realize the tide sweeps you away…….."
It was 9th of March 2012, after repeated requests from my parents to comeback home for a break; I have decided to go this time without any idea what's gonna happen that evening. I reached home, had chat with my parents and all of a sudden, when we all were about to be asleep a giggle on my phone took away my sleep that night.
"Hello Ravi,
Congratulations! I am very excited to let you know that you have been accepted into the Full-time MBA Program at the Mason School of Business……….."
After been through few refusal's from few other top notch B-schools those first few lines from Mason made me feel like an emperor of this world. I knew Mason was one of my most preferred Business schools and that mail from Lois, Admission Staff made me yell like hell at midnight :-) . I took copies of the letters and passed them to my parent's. Yes, who else would be much more happier than my parents n Sister? they felt very happy and they knew that this could and in fact will end my long battle (4 years long). Spoke to my sister, mailed by brother-in-law and his friend + my mentor Vallabhaneni. Updated my Facebook and went to bed. But my phone started making jingles exemplifying that this is the day I was waiting for and I should relish it.I was awake the whole night and was overwhelmed with wishes from my family, friends & colleagues.
I knew from day one in Infosys that there would be a day in summer 2012, which will fill my heart with cathartic agony. An emotion, I felt when I left my parents 10 years ago for my studies. My journey at Infosys was started with my college friend Pradeep who used to support me in all circumstances. It was because of him I was confident enough to face any situation. It was because of your absurd jokes and senseless songs, Bharath and Vikram, I was able to relish my stay in Mysore. And I can never forget my class of FEB10LC2NCS & my telugite friends who amazed me with surprise birthday parties. Nisha Mathew, Prantar, Shilpa & Tinu you are the one who are responsible for me being what I'm today and I always honor you guys.
