Who Are We and Is Our Destiny Chosen?

Who are we and is the destiny of our life predetermined? Nope dont think so. That is a crazy notion. Who in the world came up with that idea anyway. I think whoever did is crazy and has no sense. Really, come on? If that is the case, why try to do anything? If the outcome of the cheerleading competition is going to be predetermined, why practice 6 days a week? If I am going to make a bad grade in english and it has already been determined by fate, then why put forth any effort? Why study? Why even get up in the mornings to go to school? I think the fate thing is ridiculous. Fate...Matter of fact I find it really funny! Love is another thing. I would like to believe that love is fate. I would like to believe that before I was born, my life long love was already chosen. Yes, I would like to believe that but in reality, that is not so. In reality I have met some pretty sucky men. Its trial and error. Everything in life is trial and error. We can make smart choices or dumb ones. Everybody makes both. Trial and error. I will say it again, trial and error. trial and error, trail and error. I could say it a million times, trial and error and it wouldnt make a difference in fate. The is no fate. Fate does not exist. It never has and it never will. Freedom of speech. Freedom to make the choices we make each day from buying a piece of gum to deciding what college to go to. If I live in the country, in a very small town where opportunity is limited, this will decide my future. If I live in the city where opportunity is abundant, then the choices are more broad and what I can become may be different because of the choices I have. In the country my choices are limited. I cannot become an architect or an engineer and expect to get a great paying job in the field if I live in a town of 500 people and our industry is a cookie factory.
