Moving out of Your Comfort Zone

Moving out of your comfort zone is a brave and difficult thing to do; it will take you a lot of courage in order to fit in an environment that you’re not used to. Molly and Rachel being a newbie in a place is not just a challenge for them but also for their family. Given the situation that Molly is in, her school performance in her new school will most likely be the same from the past school because the environment in general is the same. Her love for English will take her a long way because it is the most vital key of learning, math and the technical subjects will come along for as long as she can comprehend. She may need to make new friends but her social skills is not a problem and her pleasing features added a factor to potential success, also her interest in drama club will help her open doors to new channel of interests and opportunities.
Molly and Rachel are different because they came from a different set of upbringing, which gave them difference in attitude towards school and appeal in the environment. Molly being educated in a normal school made her better in terms of reacting on her peers or even in strangers while Rachel who is used of getting education in a special school gave her delays in terms of social interaction. Their parents may also play a role on why Molly and Rachel are not alike, Molly’s parents are both lawyers that gives her advantage not just in economic status but also both of her parents can obviously manage crisis and are open for options since their job trained them not to panic and always think ahead during unusual times. Rachel on the other hand has a nurse mom that made her better cared in terms of physical health condition and a welder dad who has a butterfly collection which can make Rachel be a focused person in a wrong way, she may think that focusing on a particular hobby or recreation or subject is normal since her dad does it too. In short the influence of their school and parents made them different from one another.
Wise people always say, “Count your blessing, not your problems” and as a teacher we all agree to this, that’s probably the reason why we host a recognition day every time a school year ends.
