Buss and Plomin's Three-Factor Temperament Model
Over the decades there have been many notable researchers in the field of neurological sciences who have tried to figure out why people behave in the ways that they do both in private and in social settings. As a result four important neurobiological models have been developed and one of the most intriguing is Buss and Plomin's Three-Factor Temperament Model which was developed to explain variations in human personality. They focused their research on activity, emotionality, and sociability which are three crucial factors of human personality because of the effect they have on an individual's behavior when combined.
The main focus of this critique is to learn more about Buss and Plomin's Three-Factor Temperament Model and to gain a clear and concise understanding of the interaction between an individual's genetic make-up and the environment and how they influence the way a person behave the way he/she does which will aid future researchers in their study of human personality.
Robert Plomin and Arnold H. Buss are in my opinion two of the major contributors to the study of the Temperament Model due to his research on how an individual genetic make-up influences that individual's intelligence and subsequent behaviors in varying situations as stated in the following:
Research on intelligence has moved beyond the nature-versus-nurture
