Social Service Agency Interviews (Hospice)
There are a variety o different hospice companies that were interviewed a dedicated individual. Registered Nurse (RN) Margaret Canlas notifies the physicians of any and every situation also observe the daily progress of the patients.
The agency serve over 1,000 patient's monthly not counting home health there is a great need for hospice workers throughout the agency.
Hospice Sandra Collins is the patient liaison and in this position she will communicate on behalf of the patient when the patient become unconscious or can no longer speak for themselves. Hospice Care of Memorial Hermann Home Health is a patient care activist and her exchange information with physicians, insurance companies and any medical or other situations that may occur.
Nicole Merta is a nurse practitioner and is there for the patient to make certain that the patient is not in pain and other necessities that are necessary. Nicole stated in her interview that if she could change anything it would be hiring a full staff there is a shortage on each shift the assigned clinician has a heavy workload putting them in a position to where the needs are not always met throughout each patient over time is offered but the clinicians that are working overtime is over worked.
Terry Moore is the agency director she directs three of our home health and hospice branches within the city she advocates for participation and commitment which services offered. She deals with the in office staff through the agency, patients, physicians, clinicians, and family members. Altogether these agencies work closely with families; various agencies do not reveal that they work with co-workers, friends, or neighbors.
