Pope's message for Haiti, devastated by Hurricane Matthew

Pope Francis expresses deep sorrow for the people of Haiti, who suffered greatly from the devastating Hurricane Matthew. Hurricane Matthew has claimed the lives of many and caused serious damage. Pope Francis tells the Episcopal conference of Haiti that we need to "join in prayer in the suffering of all those who have lost love ones." He also stresses his sorrows and sincere condolences. Pope Francis entrusted all Haitians to the protection of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and entrusts in them, a special apostolic blessing.

Pope Francis gave hope to those who started to lose it. This is important to me because, in times of hardship, Pope Francis was there for the Haitians when no one else was. When times like these hit us hard, we need to remember that God is always there for us, loves us, and protects us.
