Abstract
The automobile industry, which has led the industrial revolution, is preparing for the fourth industrial revolution by attempting to replace the driver of an automobile with a computer by the development of information and communication technology. Google, the information technology company in the US, is testing autonomous driving for automobiles and announced plans to commercialize it within five years. In addition, there are increasing numbers of states announced policy about self-driving vehicles, suggesting that the age of auto-driving cars is not a distant future. Autonomous vehicles are expected to significantly change of the automobile industry in the future through changes in the core competitors of the current car market. Autonomous vehicles will be another big challenge for the domestic automobile industry, which has been developed so fast to automobile exports for the past 40 years. In this study, I examined the current status of self-driving cars and analyzed the perspectives of Google and the automobile industry. Google's revenue model has also reviewed, and suggested some implications for the domestic industry.

Automotive policy strategy to settle down self-driving car in South Korea: Are we ready to announce a new policy for self-driving vehicle?
- Introduction
We may see a self-driving vehicle much earlier than we expected as self-driving technology is combined with AI (artificial intelligent) and developed so rapidly. But nobody wants to be a pioneer for the technology if the environment and policies are not ready for it. According to the technological development process of humanity, autonomous vehicles are an unavoidable process that will surely come in the near future. As the automobile industry is a nation-based industry, commercialization of an autonomous vehicle for the future autonomous car market is an essential task in order to prevail the future automobile market. Therefore, we need to prepare automotive policy strategy prior to spread autonomous driving vehicles in the market.

In April 2014, Google announced that unmanned car was capable of driving the city center after driving on highways, and they could launch a completely unmanned car after 2017. Mercedes Benz and Nissan in Japan are also expected to develop autonomous vehicles around 2020.
In this way, overseas automakers are challenging that enable perfect autonomous driving, and the United States is the most advanced country in terms of legislation and regulations. In the US, although it is for testing purposes, several states including California have already legislated to formally legalize autonomous vehicle. The SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) has defined the 'autonomous level' as shown in the table below depending on the degree of automation and the level of technology.
