Chandalar Ranch Rates 2014-2015

Thanks for your interest in our ranch. Before you make a reservation, here is some information about our ranch. We are more like a hostel than a B & B; none of our rooms have showers or toilets inside of the rooms. On the first floor, there are two restrooms, one female and one male. There is a large open kitchen area so you can cook. We provide kitchen utensis and there are often some spices and dressing left by our previous guests; we do not provide any meals. The private rooms (1st floor) and hostel rooms (3rd floor) are in the main lodge and the cabins are 50 meters from the main lodge. The lodge itself sits on top of a hill, which makes it an excellent place to view the Aurora (Northern Lights) in the winter months. We have a large  Aurora viewing room with windows to the north where you can view the Aurora from inside of the lodge. We are 25 miles from Fairbanks; the closest convenience store  “Pleasant Valley Store”, the Post Office and the Laundromat are about 5 miles away on Chena Hot Springs Road and the closest restaurant “Two Rivers Lodge” is 3 miles away. We don’t provide laundry service.

LODGING

Male Hostel Bunks - $40.00 per person                                                                                                                  (located in the main lodge on 3rd floor and share with others)  

  Female Hostel Bunks - $40.00 per person                                                                                                                         (located in the main lodge on 3rd floor and share with others) 

  Private rooms - $100.00 for up to 2 persons, $25.00 for each for additioned person(s)

                        (On 1st Floor, do not share with others; there are 2 bunk beds in our private rooms which can sleep up to 5 people).  

Private Cabins - $80.00 for up to 2 persons, $25.00 for each additional person.

(Do not share with others, there are1 bunk bed and 1 soft bed in the cabin which can sleep up to 4 people).  

  Free Wi-Fi is available in the lodge.  There is an 8% Fairbanks North Star Borough Bed Tax on all lodging.

TRANSPORTATION

One way trip from anywhere in Fairbanks area to Chandalar Ranch                                                                      - $45.00 for one person, $40.00 per person for 2 or more people.
