Thoughts on my Results
Upon completion of the personality test assignment, I delved deeply into the results because there are real life benefits of analyzing the data. First, the measurements from the personality test reveal insights into social relationships, school and work performance, and future employment potential. Next, the traits indicated on the personality test results show how I was affected by my many life experiences. Finally, I’ll determine the validity of the results and how I can utilize this newfound knowledge.
The results for the extraversion portion show a relatively average placement. For a minimalist understanding, this represents an individual who benefits from time spent with others and solitude in equal parts. These extraversion results, although not ideal, indicates someone who is moderately outgoing and willing to engage others. In the relationship to school and work performance, the results portray a candidate who has several positive factors. They would be more than capable to handle teamwork required situations due to their extraversion level. On the other hand, they would also be excellent at individual work tasks because of their introversion. A future employer would find such a candidate to fit into most company cultures. In addition work expectations would likely be met.
The score for agreeableness was low. The test indicates that I would typically be uncompromising, tough, and independent. Social relationships are definitely affected by these traits. I’d like to think that people would look to me for straight forward advice and seek help from me if needed. I’ve found that my agreeableness can at many times be below average. In most instances, I have to strive to be comforting and considerate of others’ feelings as I endeavor to better my social relationships. My performance in school and work could likely benefit from these traits as I probably don’t spend as much time socializing. Teachers and employers would likely prefer a candidate with these results because they tend to be honest and hardworking. Also, Potential bosses could look at these traits in favor because they would know this candidate would not need much micromanagement to complete tasks.
My score for conscientious portion were very high. The test goes on to say that I likely strive to accomplish clear goals and have strong determination. These traits would lend themselves to strong social relationships with friends, family, and loved ones. Compared to other people, the test results indicate that I can focus on the people I’m with and show them that I care about the relationship we hold. School and work are greatly affected this portion of the tests. I showed high scores in self-discipline, achievement striving, and dutifulness. Cleary, those are also traits that future employers would be looking for in potential employees. Businesses prefer candidates who are going to set clear goals and accomplish them within the organization’s objectives.
