Introduction
Event management is the art of successfully establishing and running an event, this could include wedding receptions, the launching of a new product or running a seminar to improve staff morale within a business. The first step to plan an event is determined by its purpose weather it's for a wedding, a birthday or a graduation or any other event that is required an extensive planning. For this an event planner must decide and choose a location, entertainment, working on guest list, speakers if needed and of course the content or theme of the event. Locations for the event are infinite but are most likely to be held at Hotels, convention centres, and reception halls or outdoors depending on the event. Once the location has been established, the coordinator must prepare the event with staff, set up the entertainment and keep in contact with the client to make sure he or she are content. After all this is set the event coordinator must also address some of the smaller details such as, setting up food and drinks, music, the guest list, budgeting advertising and marketing, decorations, all this preparation is what is needed for an event to run smoothly.
In this assignment I will look at the different types of Events industries, discuss the variety of organisations contained by the events sector analysing the different venues, suppliers and agencies, I will discuss and evaluate the products and services that some of these events organisation provide to the potential customer and will examine the current and future trends and explain their impact in the industry.

Production Companies
Organisers are often confronted by problems when trying to produce an event of high or professional standard. The ability to create a professional event might be too difficult for an average organiser, delegated to do the job within a committee or other organisation, nevertheless high profile events, VIP ceremonies, road shows, major competitions or product launches all require specialist technical facilities and knowledge. Events of this kind and magnitude are placed on the hands of these production companies. These companies offer a whole range of technical support that high profile events often require.
