Organic food is becoming increasingly popular throughout the world and the demand has risen significantly. This is due to the change of lifestyle, as people have more knowledge, they will pay more attention to the environment and health. However, although many people have heard of the term "organic food", they might not really understand what it is and most often times they will mix up natural food with organic food. Take Malaysia as an example, the article indicates that there are many factors that will influence the Malaysian's intention of purchasing the organic products, for instance, the lack of promotion, the purchasing power, the level of education, etc.

The factor that affects Italians' motivation of buying organic food most is safety. The Italians care about whether the organic food has passed the safety certification. Besides, the curiosity of Italian customers is a force pushing them to buy the organic food because they wonder what they taste like. Hong Kong people's greatest concern is health as they assume that the nutrition level of organic food is higher than conventional food. They think eating organic food can make them become healthier as organic food does not use chemical fertilizers and pesticides during agriculture which is harmful to human bodies. Meanwhile, although the Malaysians know that organic food is healthier than conventional food, they will not buy organic food because they only consider the price. Moreover, they are attracted by the promotion of conventional food, therefore, their motivation of buying organic food is disturbed. The availability of organic food in Malaysia is very low. Therefore, although the motivation or motivation is high, it is impossible to transform the intension into practice.

It is concluded that the major concern of buying organic products is its price, the consumers are unwilling to buy a more expensive product (i.e. organic product). Also, there are other concerns,
