PEACE domestic violence program is based in Portland Organ. This program reduces victim trauma, empower survivors, and promote recovery through direct services. In addition, we help promote the wellbeing of clients, provide help for the young people whom have been in the justice system, and reduce the prevalence of domestic violence through increased service , education, and awareness.

The program has two grant opportunities, one being a one-time drop of up to $5,000.00, and the other being an Investor Program is an innovative funding program designed to support six organizations under each of the objectives of the Supporting Families program, with up to $150,000 a year for up to 3 years.

Project-wide and the objective-oriented evaluation plans could benefit the PEACE domestic violence program, but the project wide evaluation would be better suited for the program. The project wide looks at the program as a whole, and can be setup for the staff, and the clients, or even the client’s families. The project-wide evaluation provides a better detailed description of the plan.

I believe collecting feedback from every area possible is the only way to improve a program. The questions asked would need to be carefully thought out. The evaluation plan would need to be in terms that could be understood by all, yet professional. When dealing with clients that are as valuable as the clients at the PEACE domestic violence program one needs to insure them that their opinion is heard, and by using this type of an evaluation would help.
