Concern problems in the U.S. today
Rape is a media wide problem that concerns many people, both male and especially females. women are being seen as a sex symbol by men and are blamed by the clothes women use to cover themselves. As a female, even for the way i dress (“male” like) i am still being looked at by men who thing i have a “check me out” sign taped to my back, when the obvious of not being interested in males is clearly shown. It’s insulting to be seen as an object and not as a human being, to walk around as a walking sex doll.
Having 1 in every 6 females being raped and 1 in every 33 males also being victims of rape. rape and/or rape attempts are most experience in college but start
around the age of 14. It is hard to believe that men are also victims of rape, being stronger and more capable to defend themselves. Men are still raped during moments where they’re pure pressured, under the age of consent, physically pressured or drugged, the same “moves” used on women.
Having said, women who have been raped are often the ones the media are saying they have put themselves in that situation for what they wear or for their actions. If you have not heard of “men don’t rape clothes, they rape women’, it is giving people a very good point. It’s not always where a man or a woman is cuaght/aressted for raping clothes itself. I do agree that woman should watch out for their approach on a man, as men should be as well, but not for what they wear. If short shorts and tank tops were their problem, rape shouldn’t be a problem in the colder regions.
As for clubs and parties, watching out for suspicious actions and your drinks is a must. Drugs are always a way to get someone unconscious and being able to recall the night it happened. For it being a crowded place, it is actually easier to do because of that reason.
