In promoting the interest of labour in the field of health,safety and welfare, ILO has had recourse to a variety of methods. For ex:international regulations, model codes, and so on..

1.safety

The prevention of industrial accidents recommendation (no.31) provides in detail the methods of co-operation between state inspectorates, employers and other bodies in the prevention of accidents.

3.Invalidity,old age and survivor’s insurance

In 1933,international labour conference : old age insurance(no.5),old age and survivor’s insurance(no.36),invalidity insurance(no.38)…and so on…4. Unemployment Provision

The unemployment provisions convention(no.44),1934 deals with this insurance.Employement promotions and protection against unemployment con.(no.168) and rec.(no.176) were adopted in 1988

ILO has given attention to the questions of freedom of association and harmonious industrial relations. There must be include labour management, collective bargaining, conciliation and attribution. convention no.11 which has been ratified by India, deals with the association of agriculture and requires country. The ILO given special attention to the conditionof employment of seamen. This facilities relate to the hours of work,wages,facilities for finding employment.Annual holidays with pay,sickness and unemployment insurances etc.wiil be carried in.

2. Forced Labour:-

The force labour convention (no.29),1930 which has been ratified by India,provides for the abolution of forced labour in all its forms.

3. Public Works Policy:-

The unemployment recommendation (no.1),1919 the public works (national planning)Recs.(no.51),1937 and (no.73),1944 deal with problems of public works policy adopted as a measure for the creation of employment opportunities.
