The case is about the stress of individual in work and personal level and strategies to cope it.
The major issues in this case are: Can a stressed mind be able to produce any solution, can stress can persons instrumental and terminal values, does mentoring help to manage stress, can deep relaxation eliminate stress, what does past has to do with developing resilience.
The author had been in stress due to which his life had become miserable. The author life has gone stale, flat and lacked enthusiasm. His performance seems to be declining day by day due to the stress he could not manage. The symptoms of being stressed seemed physically in the author which in author which included clenching teeth.
He had been able to feel and live his life because of certain factors which had stressed him. The physician prescription for deep relaxation technique , which was giving personal time, listening carefully, trying to recall past, re-examining the motives and writing trouble helped him realize that dong job properly for the purpose of helping people, making contribution had been lost in search of security in his life . He was lost in the present situation and could not give time to himself and his thoughts and prioritize tasks.
The use of the enactive and reactive strategies has helped the author to overcome stress. It has also developed resilience in him. Time management for individual self has been found in the case of author to eliminate stress.
The lack of personal time and engagement in routine activities without any break had created stress in author. The sense of achieving everything and not getting satisfied with small wins has caused the problem. Being unable to prioritize task, set goals, lack of self control and develop resilience was his major problems.
The author could use small wins strategy where he could make small change in the desired direction rather than a big step at a time. He can manage his schedule and get some personal time where he could think and develop close social relationship. He also can take mentoring where he can share his problems and it need not be a professional. Meditation, feeling control of life, taking challenges as new experience, etc can be helpful in reducing stress.
