1) Aims and objectives of the Organization:
The aims and objectives of this office is to provide Welfare and development, with dedication, devotion, commitment and sincerity for the weaker sections of the communities particularly ST and SCs which were relatively deprived, marginalized and isolated due to geo-historical and socio-political factors. It is mandatory for this office to carry, forward the goals entrusted m Article 46 of the constitution i.e. "to promote, with special care, the educational and economic interest of the weaker sections of the people and in particular of the SC, STs and shall protect them from social injustice and all forms of exploitation".
2) Mission/ Vision:
The mission, visions of the office are all round development of SCs, STs, OBCs and Minor Community vis-à-vis- other sections of the society. Four pronged strategy has been evolved in order to achieve the goal as follows:
i) Programmes for their socio-economic development,
ii) Programmes for their educational development,
iii) Programmes aims at elimination of all forms exploitation,
iv) Improvement of quality of life.
3) Brief history and back ground for its establishment:
Consequent upon reorganization of Districts in Orissa in 1994, Boudh District came into inception being bifurcated from mother District Phulbani w.e.f. 2-1-1994. Since then the Dist Welfare Office started functioning in the Collectorate, Boudh and the head of the existing A.D.W.O. acted as D.W.O., Boudh to materialize the aims and objectives of the ST & SC Development Department. Presently the office is functioning at old Block Building.Migration
