Advertisements are infiltrating society by reaching to audience. Advertising agencies were able to make that happen by understanding how advertising influences viewers and readers. When they choose their advertising, they follow some solid principles of advertising communication. This requires that they focus on two things at once: the message they want to send and the way it will be received.
Providing Information
Many people keep track of the latest developments in products and services through advertising. The primary function of advertising is to provide information. Advertisers focus on the “what, where, when and how” of their advertising message. They make sure that potential customers know exactly what they sell and how to purchase it. The informational part of the advertising message forms the foundation of their entire presentation.
Creating a Sense of Value
Making consumers feel the value what they sell. It is one of their goals to convey a sense of value about the product or service they advertise. Advertisers make it clear how customers will benefit from buying from them, including how the offering will improve their lives, make them happier, make life easier or solve a problem they have. Creating value does not always mean offering a bargain. Some customers will pay a premium if they feel that what they are buying is of great value to them.
Identifying With a Lifestyle
Advertisers think about the lifestyle their customers lead. The product or service fits into an overall way of living that the customers choose. They make sure that the advertising appeals to that lifestyle by showing people using what you sell to enhance their sense of identity. If the product or service becomes part of a culture, they could gain lifetime customers.
Creating Fear of Not Belonging
Many people fear being left out. They want to keep up with trends, and they may consider being aware of the latest products and services to be their key to social acceptance. Even if the advertisement did not offer something that is cutting edge, it can position the product or service as something that is essential to a successful, modern consumer. Advertisers think about the consequences a consumer might suffer for not knowing about what you offer, and they emphasize them in the advertisement.
