Coupled with the rapid development of computer technology is the appearance of E-learning. Obviously, E-learning means learning online which represents electronic, efficient, experiential and extensive learning. It originated in America and soon spread across all over the rest of the world. Now, it is popular with computer users.
When it comes to the cause of E-learning's appearance, it should give credit to the traditional learning not be satisfying which is owning to the lack of good teachers, the limitation of learning place and the shortage of learning time. Then E-learning comes up, which makes up the shortage of the traditional education.
Therefore, in my opinion, the phenomenon of more and more people tending to learn online is fantastic. On the one hand, learners enjoy the convenience to the most extent because they can be in the process of learning anytime and in anyplace. So E-learning does break down the limitation of time and space and make the learning more efficient. On the other hand, it handles the problem of unfair educational recourse distribution for that it lowers the threshold and makes the educational recourse shared among most people.
However, every coin has two sides. E-learning has its disadvantages too. Firstly, some websites just put the traditional learning recourse to the online courses without innovation. It does not make any sense for learners. Secondly, some computer users may as well play games rather than learn. So self-control is of importance in the procedure.
All in all, opportunity is more than challenge which means that E-learning has a bright future. It will be more and more prosperous.
