Welcome/Introduction
Meeting called to order at 3:05p.m. Dr. Abdul Memon, HPC Co-chair, welcomed the group. Introductions conducted.
Approval and Review of Minutes
The group reviewed minutes from the October 27, 2010 meeting. Motion made by Dr. Memon to approve the meeting minutes. The group approved the meeting minutes unanimously.
Recognition of Consortium Chairs
Alicia Reyes-Perez of Miami-Dade County Health Department (MDCHD) presented plaques and pins to the outgoing HPC Co-chairs for their outstanding service and commitment:

MDCHPC Committee Updates
Steering Committee
CDC Hospital Chempack
The Committee discussed the following key points:
- Recommended quantity of pharmaceuticals hospitals should stockpile. The recommended pharmaceuticals were Atropine, Diazepam, Pralidoxime Chloride (2-PAM), and Mark 1 Kits.
- The request for distributing guidelines from the State Chempack Coordinator, Brandi Keels for guidance on the hosting site’s responsibilities as it pertains to the distributing ratios for EMS field, non-hosting sites, and hosting sites.
Pharmaceutical Committee
The Committee discussed the expansion of the Hospital Preparedness Consortium (HPC) Committees to include a pharmaceutical committee that will address the development if an essential drug list, stockpiling of medication, interaction between pharmacy community (pre event agreements, re supply of medications, etc) from an emergency preparedness perspective.
