My readings in the innovation management field wasn't as interesting as I expected, I found a lot of graphs , theories then I thought may be innovation is interesting but studying innovation is not that interesting or managing the innovation is not an innovation itself.
Lately I was excited about reading the stories behind innovative products, surprisingly most cases I read not initiated in that ideal innovative environment or implementing these processes that the books are discussing moreover these innovative ideas turned into a not innovative corporate.
From my perspective innovation can't be managed, the innovation is to continuously search for more not limiting people with the company's constraints or current performance indicators as innovation start in the conscious of someone if he has this inside power he will influence others, touch their soles convince them about the value they are missing, it's a challenge of how to reflect your ideas to make others believe in it, it's a series of failures till the idea reach greatness.
I thought that learning innovation Management in College will be just a slides to memorize, an academic trial to capture this really intuitive instinct in rare humans and setting some processes to control these ideas and judging it via different methodologies either financially or economically but What I saw was interesting its more about expressing yourself and trigger your imaginations thinking about your past experience from new perspective.
I noticed that the academic analysis to the business domain highlights the complexity of managing innovation and opened my eyes to set of variables that I didn't consider, tracking the changing behavior of technology that the processes should follow, in addition to the personnel involved in this fast agile environment and the challenge to keep them functioning and focused on the already defined targets, I didn't expect the wideness of this field even in recruiting using new hiring technique by targeting integrative capabilities not the classic functional hiring also the business model's relation to the end customer that I didn't recognize its value in the beginning as everyone focused on just the product delivered, after in depth reading of the business model and its building blocks helped me to understand that the product delivered to the end customer is actually the company's business model it's the value that the business canvas share to shape the final product.
