Q1: The Total number of characteristic combinations is the number of values of each combination multiplied. For example, a company plans 800 Products across 12 plants to serve 20 customer locations. Then the number of characteristic combinations would be 800*12*20 = 19,200. If there are multiple cubes used in addition, the total is the sum of Characteristic combinations for each InfoCube.
Q2: Total number of key figures is the sum of the key figures identified in each InfoCube used in planning.
Q2a: Number of key figures stored in liveCache (in percent of question Q2) is the sum of the key figures kept in liveCache
Q3: Compression index Either a 'Compression index' can be specified or the number of compressed time series (in percent) and the number of periods can be specified in the compressed time series. A compression index of 0 means that all time series are not stored in compressed form and the maximum main memory requirement is calculated. A compression index of 10 means that 90% of the time series are stored in compressed form. A compression index of 5 is preset. This corresponds to a compression rate which we have observed with many customers.
