Preparing to Qualify a Prospect
Situation
Currently our best practices of providing customers with the products they want in a timely fashion is not being meet by most of our stores. At this time our out of stock goal for an average store is 108 out of stocks which include warehouse miss picks, out of stocks due to buyer adjustments. Currently only have of the store in the enterprise is meeting this goal ,roughly the average out of stock is 170 per district, with eight district that is 1360 out of stocks daily which would be 40,800 in a 30 day calendar month.
Proposed solution
The proposed prospect will help with maintaining our company best practices goal by providing our store with real-time ordering, the option of editing their order while running a day supply of product from truck to truck.
Steps involved
1. Training the current associate on how to effectively use CAO (computer assisting order)
2. Set the warehouse products using a barcode system for scanning the current items in the current location, giving the order picker the ability to pick the right amount of product ordered by the store, while giving them the ability to send current inventory levels directly to the buyer for order adjustment.
3. ESI upgrade so that the associates have the ability to see what products they ordered will be delivered, what was scratch and the reason.
4. Hours giving to stores for replenishment of products before primetime (the time when the store is the busiest 4pm-9pm)
