EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

After thorough analysis of Riordan’s existing information systems, LTC Consulting recommends an upgrade to the receiving, manufacturing, shipping and financial tracking system. The current process throughout all Riordan plants are prone to error and are labor intensive, leading to issues with accuracy and productivity in all systems, becoming very costly for Riordan’s bottom line, across all facilities.

Through utilizing QuickBooks for the sales systems along with Fishbowl Mfg. and Warehouse together, this system will combine all these different processes into one easy to use system. The initial costs for hardware, software, licenses and IT Professionals to help get the system running smoothly and efficiently will cost around seventy-five thousand to one-hundred thousand dollars for estimated quantities may vary from the actual quantities and final prices.

With the adoption of the new system, Riordan will benefit from automation/acceleration, increase revenue, improved communications and collaboration, and workforce optimization. All of the daily processes will move along at a faster pace and accelerate the ability to serve customers. With the ability to automate and accelerate processes, new opportunities will be discovered, resulting in an increase in revenue streams or the creation of new ones. Products can be brought in faster, ensure stock never runs out, and move orders out the door more quickly and efficiently. Being able to communicate with others easily in an accurate and timely fashion is key to completing the necessary work. Automation in communications and collaboration can create great benefits at Riordan. With this improved system, one person is able to do the work of three so employees can be deployed in other areas to help generate additional revenue.
