What if I told you that you would be able to lift this piece of paper without using your hand and only using your mind? You’re probably thinking to your self that this would be an impossible task. This is called Nero control. Nero control is basically just being able to telepathically control items only using your brain waves. With the technology that is being invented, we all will be able to do this! The potential for this new technology is almost limitless. Scientists have come up with many ways of using this. They are already in the process of being able to make handicap people use it to move squares on a screen, now I know that you think this is a minuscule task, but these are just the first steps into something great. Other countries are more advanced in this field then the US. Here are some articles I found with Japan, Germany and Beijing.
In Japan, they are taking this in a different way. They have these cat ears that are connected to a head seat that is positioned over the person temples and the back of their head also. When the user has them on, the ears are controlled by the emotion of the user. If they are confused then the ears will go down or start spinning. If the user is excited or happy the ears will stand up or also start spinning around. They are also helping people that have locked in syndrome, which means you are awake, but cannot communicate. With this technology, these people are going to be able to control a motorized wheel chair using only their brain. It will be some time before they will become fully functional again, but in the meantime this will do good.
The scientists in Germany are making it possible so you can drive without your hand and yes, only using your brain. The driver has to wear a head set with 16 different sensors on it for more brain wave activity. The more activity you have that is coming from your brain the better the response you will have, and the better
