Why Was Anne Hutchinson a Threat to Massachusetts Bay Colony?

Anne Hutchinson was a threat to the Massachusetts Bay colony because church & stated were seen as one. Every person in the colony belived in the same religious beliefs of the Covenant of Grace, & not the covenant of works. Anne hutchinson held mettings in her house, and countered some of these beliefs. This was boguht to the aurthorites attention, and they were threatend by this because she was so widely admirerd. They believed if they didn't do anything about this, she could possible persuade enough people into believe that this could cause an uproar among the colony. The ministers and governors where very much threatened bby her beliefs, and did not want anyone jumping the bangwagon. In this case Anne was the first woman to be put on a trial, only three years after she joined the colony. She made a brillant case for herself, but they were deteremined, espiacally after her stating that she felt and had a presence of god in herslef, that lead her to these beliefs to banish her from the colony. The state and church were one and believed that if this just go by the waist side, there could be non-believers of the covenant of grace and possible believers in the covenant of works, which they did not beleive in. These beliefs ultimantley differed in their beliefs, and the colony was ran by all believe in the same. This to them in 1638 was a major problem and threat that they saw could ruin their foundation, that they worked so hard for to build and establish.
