In this book “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck , Crooks says the quote “Maybe you guys better...”. He is trying to say that he tired of people and he wants to be alone. Crooks has a problem with racism which is puts him down. He works all day and he gets very upset about racist comments by people. He works for the boss which is somewhat a nice guy. I think he needs some alone time and sometime to think about things that he wants to get done.

I think the message about Crooks is how much work and effort he puts in his job. I think its trying to tell you Crooks is made for hard work and this time period because of racism. Curley is a big jerk to Crooks because he’s pretty much a slave to him. Crooks tries his hardest to keep up with people but because of his broken back he is like a pet to Curley and he can't do anything to protect himself from his back injury.

Crooks is mostly working at the store then doing anything else with his life. He strong and a very hard worker and willing to do anything for people. He’s strong but when it comes to lennie which who he doesn’t like much at all because his big and very strong. The place where his at most of the time is working at the farm. Crooks gets annoyed when people pick on him and make racist comments which makes him wanting to be alone and away from everyone.

In the end Crooks turn out to be disrespected by many people in the beginning which changed his life. Crooks started to change the way on how he thought of people which there was only a few people who were actually good friends to him. He got tired of the racism from work and just violence was harmful words. Crooks heart was probably destroyed because of Curley’s racist comments and a harsh job which puts a lot of pressure on him. But in the end Crooks still goes through a life thats not very good.
