this research proposal aim is to prove that burnout and stress effects professionals at all levels within the healthcare. alot of resrach has been done among nurses and doctors. Based on colleagues frustation at all levels it is imperative that resrach be done to highlight thisBurnout and stress is one of the leading factors that affect work performance. Burnout occurs when people do not see the points of their efforts. Their workload is never ending no matter how much of time is put in, resulting, in these employees feeling that their work is no longer meaningful. These feelings of burnout causes stress and make employees more frustrated.

Many studies have been carried out to understand the relationship between stress and burnout and its effect on job performance. These studies have supplied valuable insight. Information gained thereof have enabled implementation of various strategies, in the workforce. In order for applications of these strategies in the Private Clinics sufficient research needs to be performed. This research aims to focus on the Private Clinics which lacks prior research in this area.

Private clinics just like other business need to ensure optimal work performance as this directly affects the success and sustainability of the facility.

While burnout is a type of job stress which might be affected by a variety of factors, it can have negative implications for both employees and employers. This study aims to evaluate how these factors affect work performance.

The sample group used in this study is the private clinics in the Pinetown area. This study also seeks to determine ways to reduce stress and burnout thereby positively influencing job performance.
