Apple

I think that Apple is well-known and popular company, so I skip their history because everyone know that, and I want you Sandeep save some time and avoid to give information like hundreds before. So I will go directly to point of Apple´s success followed by innovation issue and on the end of this paper you found rating of my colleges.

Design is definitely one of the key factors of Apple´s success but it is obvious that without Appel´s features, marketing and innovation it wouldn’t be that successful. We can see that design, but moreover sense for detail and perfectionism, in every each of all range of Apple´s products from early beginning. I love Job´s respond from 1998 about iMacs: “…computer that is really quiet, doesn’t need a fan, that wakes up in 15 seconds, that has best sound system and superfine display…” which I found amazing! I do hear this exact respond from my friends when I ask them why did they bought iMac. Design followed by simplicity in use ejected all Apple´s devices to fashionable, popular and trendy category. All these properties made by Jobs (I mean after they hire him again) and his designer teams as well as engineers accomplished from Apple “cool” brand and that is what I found as a key of success, high margins, profitability and huge market share company as Apple is right now.

In Apple Innovation doesn’t mean just designing existing product but it is more complex. Most innovation in the world are about what do people expect, but I think that in Apple it is different. We spoke about Jobs´s approach so many times, like “You don’t know that you need it yet but you will so here it is.” and I think it pretty good characterize all Apple´s Innovation process. People didn’t know that they need better camera in their iPhone or better sound in their iPods and iMacs until Apple show them that they do but what was better for Apple? Only next generation of iMacs, iPods, iPads and iPhones has that right innovation which people “need” most likely WANT because everyone else have that. What is innovation? I think in Apple it is idea transformed into personal tool which solve some kind of problem presented to customers which are willing to pay for it. It is not really mentioned in Case Study but I think that Apple is great example of Innovation process. Apple is in computer, tablet, phone, mp3 and watches business so in other words in really wide range of electronics devices. It is innovation be it-self. Go from computers to watches is a long way. And every each devices is innovation subject as well. I think only P (Kotler´s 4P) to compete with Apple is Price. And from this point of view brand Xiaomi is doing great job! Xiaomi phones are called “cheap iPhones” but look at Xiaomi market share!
