Business Practice

The field of Marketing is very broad and varies in many of job positions. Some positions in this field are in the area of marketing, advertising, promotions, public relations, and sales. However, advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales jobs are highly taken by individuals with job experience, but competition in the business world are always high. College graduates like me will need the experience and skills in high levels of creativity, and strong communication, computer skills, and etc. In particular, employers will seek those who have the skills to conduct new types of advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales campaigns involving new media, which includes the internet’s social networking and creative websites.

Conducting this application process showed me that a student like myself needs to be ready to gain the responsibilities of obtaining a high end job. Those qualities and traits could range from researching data for a corporation and studies, analysis data, face-to-face interactions with customers and co-workers, the ability to work together as a whole, and the ability to adapt to any troubleshooting problems.

All three job positions that I would apply upon graduation contains tons of responsibilities, but that is what Baker College have prepared me for. Achieving my degree in Marketing I learned the management process through which goods and services move from concepts and theory to the customer. One concept that I would use on a daily basis in the marketing world would be the practice of involving the organization tactics within the 4P’s model and that is what all three job positions revolved around in their mission statement.

One key trait that I learned in marketing was always do researches on organizations. Upon applying for job openings, I learned to analysis what the company might want to hear from you and how you should present yourself. Looking at GM’s, Sprint’s, and
