Acquiring
How can I know products?
a) From my friends introduce them
b) From the weekly paper advertising, I don't watch TV, so the TV advertising is less useful for me.
c) From the online website, especially if the products have the online shopping service, I will be paying more attention on them.
How often do I buy products?
a) Daily necessities: once a week
b) Non- daily necessities: it depends. I have a month budget, when I excess the budget, I would not buy non-daily necessities. For example, on January I had bought three books for my winter semester, it cost me more than $400, definitely I had already outnumbered my budget. I don't have more spare money for the non-daily necessities.
Notes: fix expense: rent expense, car insurance expense, Oil expense, cell phone expense, daily necessities expense.
Why do I buy products?
a) I need them. E.g. food, water
b) There is good price for them. E.g. A few months ago, there was a store in Sydney shopping center, they offered athletic products with 50% discount price. My friends advised me shopping there. I brought two sweaters, one pair of shoes and one T-shirt.
During the Christmas holiday, I brought two jeans online with 40% discount.
c) They are a famous brand. E.g. I like skateboard shoes. Vans, D&C, Etnies are famous brands, but I am not familiar with them. So I want buy each of them brand, then compared which one I like best. Price is moderate consideration in this situation.
d) I like them. This is the most important factor in my consumer behavior. When I like one product, price is less important consideration. E.g. I really like one outerwear with high price in the Bay, I think over and go back to buy it.
