There has been a drastic increase in the number of suicides, divorces ,psychological disorders, increased mental agony, increased sense of insecurity, elevated feelings of inferiority and unhappiness etc among the urban population in india especially after the economic boom in our country. This problem mainly persists in the urban population because of sudden changes in the life style caused due to the economic advancement of our country ,always economic advancement comes along with problems like stress & life style diseases. The same phenomenon of economic advancement happened in the west but the west used tranquilizers in order to relieve stress. But we have a conflict with our Indian value system in choosing tranquilizers as a means to relive stress caused due to the unhealthy life style
Recent studies indicate that more and more people are drifting towards spiritualism in India due to the change in the life style caused by the economic boom, which has created several lifestyle diseases and psychological disorders ,so a need has raised among the Indians to balance their lives , so they are in search of ancient life-discipline sciences such as yoga ,meditation, tantra etc. according to a recent survey the spiritual gurus market is alone worth 2000 crores which consists of books,audio CDs/DVDs ,medicines, periodicals and conducting workshops.
This paper deals with leveraging spirituality craze as a huge market potential .
