Introduction and Executive Summary
In conducting this experiment, our main objective was to determine the approximate grade point average of different post-secondary undergraduate students throughout the Greater Vancouver region, and identify the factors that contribute most to each student’s relative success or failure, based on data gathered from our surveys regarding numerous independent variables that we theorized to have large effects on a person’s study habits. As study habits differ from individual to individual, it was necessary for all information used in our analysis to be primary data, and as such, we established as a group that the key independent variables to probe for would be that of a person’s age, gender, presence of a significant other, average number of coffees consumed per day, average number of coffees consumed per week, stress level self-ranked on a scale out of ten, and number of courses taken per semester.
