Employee Training and career development are essential tools to help enhance an organizations overall success. It is the companies human resources team responsibility to make every effort to not only bring the right employees in the door when recruiting, staffing and hiring. But in addition making sure they invest and cultivate those employees so that everyone wins in the long run. The best companies invest in their employees which in turn shows in the companies productively and success. The best way do this is by creating and developing good employee training and development programs.
The role of good training and development programs help the organization enhance and develop their employee’s skills, and send the message that the company values their employees and is willing to make an investment into them so that they will continue to be an assest to the organizations. Smart employers know that the overall development of the organization rests on how well or poor their employees can perform on their jobs. In addition, they know that training will assist these employees sharpen and develop the skills they already came in the door with as well as train them and the additional skills that they will need in the future. Developmental training will expand on the culture, attitude and behavior that that the organization wants displayed. While some organizations see these types of programs as costly in the long run they get a return on the money they put out and they are able to retain their employees will cuts down on hiring and recruiting costs.
Employee development and organizational develop are pretty much one in the same. Developing your employee’s directly in turn develops your organization. That’s why so many companies that go this route stress how important it and offers courses like ‘Train the Trainer” to give their employees on the job training and development. As well as mentoring programs and things of that nature.
