In every organization, the need for well trained and knowledgeable employees are the utmost priority. The importance for every employee to be able to perform their duties in an efficient and effective manner is key for any business to achieve their goals. During these changing times, employees may sometimes lack the skills needed to succeed, and through training, employees can keep up with technology, modern systems or any other advanced procedure to ensure company grow and prosperity. In this time is when training is more evident than ever. Any organization has a huge task and responsibility to train, develop, and assist their employees in career development.
Businesses can improve their goals and succeed through the training and development of all their employees. The training role is always changing and demands must be kept in order to fulfill the company's overall strategy. Each organization must provide all the tools required as well as any company expectation, which may rise during the training process. Employees must be guided through training and make sure the mission is lost. As increased demands come, businesses must also increase the workload of employees to meet such demands. Through training, the quality of service will exceed. Providing better training and career development, better employees will be produced and relationships will be also being of higher standard.
While there are different employee development methods, some organizations use job rotations to bring together employees and different positions available. A few methods include assistant-to positions, lectures, committee assignment, seminars, as well as outdoor training. According to DeCenzo "These methods can provide with a more reliable and comprehensive evaluation of the employee by his supervisor" (DeCenzo & Robbins, 2007).
The assistant-to positions permits employees who posses a clear potential to enjoy a variety of management events as assistants or, performing different duties under the supervision of mentor. This method can be used in preparation the employee for a position at a higher level. The committee assignment method permits the employee to take part in different committees who dedicate themselves to problem solving and business issues. While having the ability to experience a vast number of positions, an employee who is working with this method can develop their career to a potential that only they can make it what ever they choose. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the skills and is a quick learner to see the different levels they can participate in.
Lectures, as well as seminars, whether it is done through an internal or external source, bring traditional forms of training and knowledge.
