Senseabilities is a clinic located in the Inland Empire with a focus on the developmentally disabled providing therapy, evaluations & consultation for children and adults with impairments in receptive/expressive language, speech/articulation, cognition, social skills, sensory integration, activities of daily living, and fine motor skills. Senseabilities has pulled together professionals that understand, and at the same time implement techniques in the different therapies that are provided to the variety of populations, including children and adults with Autism, behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities, speech/language delay, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. The therapies function through a combination of natural play and direct instruction. Parent education is also a priority therefore parents are highly involved in their children therapy.

Information Technology

According to Laudon and Laudon Information technology consist of all the hardware and software that a firm needs to use in order to achieve its business objectives. This includes not only computer machines storage devices and handheld mobile devices, but also software, such as the Windows or Lunix operating systems, the Microsoft Office desktop productivity suite, and the many thousands of computer programs that can be found in a typical large firm.

 There is a lot of demand out there for this kind of services and the offer it is not enough to cover the needs. Senseabilities does a great job with the kids helping them to succeed. The organization uses different systems.

Information system can be defined technically as a set of interrelated components that collect, process, store, and distribute information to support decision making and control in the organization. The technology the organization uses is Windows and IOS platform. The organization uses these two systems to keep track of the payments from the insurance, the co-pays, the appointments, the progress and goals from the clients, and to keep track of the many speech therapist the organization employs, their schedules, and very sensitive information as they keep the medical records of all the people they provide services.  The enterprise uses iPads in the different therapies with the kids, by using certain Apps that can help the kids to practice pronunciation.  The organization also has a presence in social media even though it is very simple, lacks more activity and it does not have big numbers visiting the Facebook page.
