In recent years, the growth of the NB market declined obviously because of the growth of the tablet market, so that the NB market’s profitable became lower. However, after five years of great growth, the tablet market went through a decrease in sales whereas the NB market seemed to rebound from the bottom.

On the other hand, due to the sales decrease of the NB market in the past few years, some firms left the market, especially those who were of smaller size, those who conducted little scale of economy, and those who had higher costs; for example, Sony, Toshiba and Samsung. As a result, the NB market may become a oligopoly market. Moreover, Lanci, the CEO of Lenovo, even said that there would only be five big-branded firms in the NB market.

The rise of the tablet got a lot of attention and expectation in the past because the market thought it would probably replace the computer in the future.

However, the tablet is still used mainly in the entertainment, and this makes the tablet easy to be replaced by the notebook or cellphone.

And in the recent years, the large-size cellphone drew a lot of attention in the market, which directly affects the market of tablets. Also, the implement of the tablet to firms is still not enough and increases slowly, so that the heat of the tablet market seems to cool down.

In addition, Gartner, one of the famous information technology research companies, considers that there are two reasons that the top priority of tablet users may be updating their computer instead of paying attention to the tablet.

One is the appearance of ultramobiles ,and the other one is the fact that the general users does not update the tablet products as frequently as the tablet industry’s expectation.

As a result, the growth of the tablet is way beyond the expectation.
