By no means can the significance of a leader to a team be ignored. Many people
think that a leader is the 'heart' of a team. A leader is someone who is willing and is
able to take on responsibilities. Every group needs a leader because different abilities
need to assemble and merge into one. If a team wants to make the businesses become
successful, therefore, it is important for a team leader to consider and take care of
every group member. So, one thing they need to do is to find out what truly motivate
their teams through motivational theories, and then take the most advantage of every
subordinate's strength and make the businesses stronger.
For leaders, to be clearly know what are their members motivation, they need to
understand the concept of motivation first. Motivation is defined by Robin F as ' The
extent to which an individual is engaged by the work role he or she occupies and
theories of motivation suggest that motivated behaviour occurs either because work
fulfils psychological needs or because of more rational decision-making processes
where there appears to be a clear connection between effort and performance and
performance and value outcomes '. There are numerous
