1. Executive Summary:
In today’s competitive economy, the presence of intelligent and brilliant employees in an organization requires more attention than in the past, to remain ahead of its competitors the management must keep abreast of technological progress along with the social aspect for development and motivation of its employees. By productively utilizing the talented people, organizations can achieve successful results and goals effectively and efficiently while they can develop a highly productive work force. Motivating the workforce of an organization is perhaps the most fundamental task of management.
Without right labor its very unlikely for organizations to achieve their goals and objects. This paper explicates how employees are core capital in any public sector and private sector, Differences of employee’s motivation in public sector and private sector and how motivation plays a key role in employee job performance. Secondly I would like to add up some motivational theories with its implication in public and private sector, which we have learned in organizational behavior and leadership subject.
Money is a crucial factor to work motivation. It is a medium of exchange and the means through which employees can satisfy their needs and wants. I have come up with the issue which states that does money alone motivates employee in organizations? Is it enough to keep employee morale and job performance high and keep their commitment with the organizations? What kind of monetary motivations we can give to our employee?
However, there are other motivational factors, which help management to encourage and motivate employee to work towards organizational goals cohesively. Manager’s cannot rely only on monetary factor.in fact, for managers it’s merely impossible to find the perfect solution that will promote job satisfaction and enhance performance at all times. In order to elicit better performance, motivational determinants must be given a high priority and employed properly.
2. Introduction:
The world is rapidly changing due to technological advancements and globalizations. There are many multi national companies, which are operating on global scale that increasingly leads to complexity of human resource both in private and in public sector.
- Public sector employee is the one whose place of employment is owned and operated by a state or government agency.
- A private sector employee mean whose place of employment is privately owned or is operated by a private, for profit organization.
Motivation is a force that a person develops for some needs, which controls our behavior and directs to a goal.
Motivation is one of the company fundamental tasks, because there is a well-known saying ‘‘happy workers are productive worker’’. Companies always try to minimize its cost and increase productivity and output. . In recent times, the challenge organizational leaders in public as well as private sector are facing is that most employees aren’t very engaged, they are not fully committed and tied to organizations.
