Background

According to latest researches of the Association of publishers and distributors of books, Ukrainians spend money ten times less than in other countries - only 51 USD per year.

In September, the Ukrainian Association of Publishers and Booksellers announced the reduction in the number of books that are available in the country. The average number of copies of national literature annually reduced by 10% and has reached the lowest rate in Europe - one book per person per year.

"In England, Germany, Finland programs of state support and promotion of reading work. Their goal - to teach children not only read, but read transfer, and then apply this knowledge in practice. In the Ukraine there is no such program "

In Ukraine alone, over 55 million hryvnias is thought to be spent online every year, whilst globally the figure sits in the trillions dollars - the web’s connecting buyers and sellers like never before.

The opportunities for retailers are endless, so starting an online shop should be a top priority.

Starting an online store has advantages over having a physical storefront: there's no rent to pay, and you can reach millions of customers from the comfort of your home.

We should remember!!!:

The ABCs of an online business are the following: know your market, have quality products and service, and be consistent with social media and connect with your market.

Measurable project goals

to create a web store with wide range of books (on different themes and languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, German, Italian) This is not a goal! 

during first three months improve the marketing strategy (develop new special offers for customers) due to own experience and learning the activity of our competitors

to create an online platform of exchanging books with the month's profit of  15 000 USD? (time boundaries – a half of year)

to become a top three leader among Ukrainian online books storages (time frames – one year and a half). Compare figures of  income, search request and an amount sold books with our competitors like Yakaboo.ua, Knigograd.com.ua, Booklya.com.ua, Setbook.ua, Lavkababuin.com.ua

Consumer

Internal: the team, which is working on this project.

External: Ukrainians, who are keen on reading and are looking for special books. Ambitious and young authors, who will have an opportunity to present their books to readers and, thus, make them popular ones.

Intermediate: people, who order books for another person to make a present. People, who wants to sell books, which become useless for them

Final: people, which read bought books (no matter what is their age, sex, profession and social status)

Consumer needs

To have a pleasure of reading favorite books, holding them in your arms.

Desire to make special present for people, who are very valuable to you

Receive a rare edition (even with the sign of the author)

To sell old book or exchange books

Terms: Time frames are flexible and may vary depending on the filling needs.

Budget: The minimum budget limit is 45020 hrn on month and 10% for unforeseen expenses. As a result, 49 520 hrn.

- Report on regional attendance.

- Report on the books of genres and popularity among visitors.
