Riordan Manufacturing HR Analysis
The purpose of this paper will be to discuss the various techniques and design methods which likely will be implemented for information gathering for the analyzing of Riordan Manufacturing’s HR system. We will be discussing the key factors which will help ensure that all the information gathered for the project is done so successfully and is required for the project. As well as explain the scope and feasibility of this project.
Techniques for Gathering Information
Gathering information is a critical step for any project. There are numerous strategies to consider for determining how to go about gathering information. The stakeholders needed for gathering this information will have to be determined before any information can be gathered. Once the stakeholders are in place, we then need to decide on which method(s) for which we will go about gathering the data. It is possible as well that the different methods for gathering information could require different stakeholders but we will be focusing on those individuals needed to analyze the HR systems for Riordan Manufacturing.
The first method or technique for gathering information we will be exploring is the brainstorming method. Some of the requirements or the data that’s being gathered isn’t always known going into an endeavor such as this one, and the requirements are more or less stumbled upon for the project. Essentially, there’s a brand new solution which needs to be created as an agreed upon set of ideas. In such a case as this the actual starting point of the project can be a brainstorming session. The appropriate stakeholders are gathered together to brainstorm ideas as to just what solution(s) might be. The ideas are prioritized, once generated by the participants, to look at what the consensus opinions of the best ideas are as the potential solution(s) for the project. (Mochal, 2008)
Another technique we will employ for gathering information is in the form of questionnaire. This will be especially useful for the remote locations; Michigan, Georgia, and China. One of the benefits of the questionnaire is that this is a self-administered tool that is rather economical and relatively easy to administer. Feedback from multiple respondents can be collected simultaneously at any point in time. Another advantage of the questionnaire is that they seem to always be anonymous preventing the users(s) from withholding their true feelings and allows them to be more open and candid with their responses.
