Script for orienting new employees:

Hello all, my name is Nicole Davis, I am the Human Resources director and I would like to welcome you all to the first day of our orientation workshop. I would like to first welcome you all to our company and congradulate you all on your first step to growing with our family. As a Patient Care Techinican’s you will have many resonsabilites and will support not only our doctors and nurses, but also our patients. Our patients are always number one, and it is our duty to ensure they are taken care of. As you are aware, the responsibilities will vary depending on the day, ward, and patient. For review following are just a few of the examples you will be responsible for:

Assisting Patients in a varity of tasks, for example personal hygiene, serving meals, and even help the patient eat.

Record vitals, height, weight, mental condition, and any other important information the doctor will need to know prior to seeing the patient.

Help the patient move from location to location, as well as assist them in daily exercize.

Set up and operate therapeutic equipment and supplies.

You will have a senior staff member who will be there to support you, assist you, and answer any and all questions you may have while on the floor. We understand that there are different sercomstances while in this business and we want you to know you are not alone. The purpose of the orientation process is to answer any and all questions you may have.

We, in HR, feel that it is important to address some sensitive issues during your early employment with our company.
