Starbucks is one of the largest coffee gourmet business chains in the world. Brewed freshly coffee is a promising experience to each and every of their customer. A detailed designed store is a perfect place to meet and chat, working, establish a networking or simply enjoy a peaceful interlude in their day. Customers can enjoy the couches, and lots of ambience was created to serve as flagship stores in high-traffic, high-visibility locations. Starbucks offers the finest coffee, the wide selection of beverages, contemplated by assorted choice of dessert. This ultimate coffee experience is resulted from excellent human resource practices. Aside from departmentalization approach, Starbucks promoting high motivational culture, designing an adaptive organization, being ethically and socially responsible, and demonstrate a strategic leadership.

First of all, we may see the organizational structure of Starbucks is departmentalized where they concentrates on five methods which are functional, product, customer, geographic and matrix. Headquartered in USA, Starbucks created zone vice presidents to direct the development of each region geographically and to implant the Starbucks culture. Other than having regional departmental stores team, they also have best real estate team and sophisticated system that enabled it to identify not only the most attractive individual city blocks but also the exact best strategic store location. Starbucks management looked upon each store as a billboard for the company's brand and image, so they owned an in-house team of architects and designers to ensure that each store is custom-designed accordingly. The product departmentalization can be seen through a new product development where aside of having dine-in perks, they also introduced Via instant coffee, wide selection of fresh-roasted whole-bean coffees, Starbucks Barista home espresso machine, and packs of Starbucks to be used in single-cup coffee machine. The company was constantly occupied in efforts to develop new ideas, new products, and new experiences for customers that belonged exclusively to Starbucks.
