Sears Canada Inc. (Sears) is a multi-channel retailer that is engaged in the sale of goods and services through 95 department stores, 43 Sears Home stores, 144 Hometown stores, 24 Outlet stores, 84 Sears Travel offices, 34 Corbeil appliance stores, the Sears.ca website and an extensive network of over 1,200 merchandise pick-up locations.
Through its retail channel, Sears operates its namesake department stores, as well as Sears Home, Hometown, Outlet, Corbeil Electrique, and Sears Travel stores. The Sears Home Services channel provides carpet and duct cleaning, custom windows coverings, product installation and assembly services for products purchased at Sears stores, and Sears Heating and Cooling. The direct channel is divided between Sears’ catalogue and website (e-commerce) businesses. The logistics channel operates six National Logistics Centres and the S.L.H. Transport subsidiary, which transports merchandise to stores and catalogue pick-up locations, as well as provide carrier services for Sears and customers unrelated to Sears.

Sears Canada began in 1952 as Simpsons-Sears Limited, a joint venture between the Robert Simpson Company (Simpson’s) and Sears, Roebuck & Co. of the United States.
