Executive Summary
Data was given on 25 TNC’s in order to produce data for the purpose of performance analysis. This is a summary of all the recommendations put together for the purpose of a more concise and reliable article on the performance of TNC’s
- Throughout the ratios we saw that on average companies from the: Electrical, Food & Beverages, Beverages, Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries had the highest foreign ratios. Those in more technical industries had the lowest.
- The TNI was calculated and was found to be higher than the claimed mean of 55% indicating a high proportion of foreign involvement on average
- The Chairman’s claims that on average the ratio of foreign assets to total assets is equal to the ratio of foreign sales to total sales was found to be proved correct.
- The data showed a positive relationship between the foreign to total sales ratio and the foreign to total assets ratio and provided a regression equation of y =0.785x + 0.062
- There was a thorough explanation of the use of hypothesis testing for the puropose of regression estimation and examples provided
