A Best Friend

What does a best friend mean to you? A best friend is someone who encourages you when you are sad and lonely. Help you overcome your problems by finding solutions. Usually a best friend is valued more than a sibling, because of the amount of things they do for you. It is someone who knows you from inside out and would go to the ends of the earth for you. There is something about a best friend that cannot be replaced with anyone else.

A best friend can be someone you’ve known since childhood and are still together. Someone who supports you through thick and thin, when you think you’ve almost lost it, and they bring you back up. They’re usually the ones who you can share your most intimate secrets with, which you cannot do with your sibling(s). People often tell their best friend, “I can share anything with you but I can’t with my sibling(s).” That’s because, there is a line between a best friend and a sibling. Things that you wouldn’t be able to share with your sibling(s), you would want to share them with your best friend, and vice versa.  My best friend is like my brother who cares for me. For example, when I had a bike accident, he took me to the hospital and stayed there to keep me strong until I got out of the hospital.

My best friend is the person who always wants to see me smile, and he would do anything to make me smile. I share my deepest problems with him and he would sit with me and talk about any problems, whether it’s a family issue or any other personal issue, he’d be more than happy to solve my problems. My best friend is like a stress reliever.  He takes all my life’s burden off my mind and keeps me focused on my goals. By keeping my mind free of stress and tension, he enables me to live a healthier life because mind and body are somehow connected. Best friends always stand by your side when you are in trouble and they’d protect you from any kind of threat that is coming your way. There are many other things that best friends do for us to make our life easier like helping out with work/college homework, helping you choose clothes when you are out shopping, advising you with what steps you should take or stops you when you are going on the wrong path.
