Recruiting and hiring slowed down during the worst months of the recession for some employers, but even during those dark days ABC, Inc. HR department were already prepared and looking ahead. (Sandler, 2009). In today's society being unorganized will occur and will cause numerous of problems in the business world. An unorganized person can be very costly to a corporation if he or she makes these kinds of mistakes. Daily workdays can bring stress for many people, with companies laying off, major cutbacks, or companies moving out the country seeking cheap labor; will put employees in a difficult position. A mishap such as Carl Robins could and will happen. How does one avoid a crisis such as Carl keep from happening?
ABC, Inc a company striving to stay on top of its competition, with companies in the mist of shutting down, bank bailouts and stock market crisis. Instead of laying off they are hiring new trainees. In businesses around the world there daily challenges within any company. This case study with Carl Robins, who has been hired as the new Campus Recruiter for ABC, Inc. has gained trust from his supervisor Monica Carroll and have impress other corporate leaders. Carl is given another mission to accomplish and must have a clear-cut method in place for his next phase with the company. How is he to achieve this goal? Carl needs to create a check off list to organize the recruitment of potential trainees for future references. A check off list in the business world is a list of task often kept on some an organizer or written on a piece of paper, which serves as a memory bank to correct, resolve, or prevent any problems that may arise. In today's corporate world a check off list is an important resource to have, especially with all the deadlines to be met and responsibilities that is put one person.
Background
This case study recognizes obstacles that interfere with the new campus recruiter Carl Robins. Most of these obstacles are unfortunately, fall on Carl. His failure to pay attention to details and follow up on things in a timely manner put himself in a bind. Even though he is in a difficult dilemma, he should not rush and make things worse than they are. Whenever possible he need to allow himself time to examine the problem.
