                       DESCRIPTION OF A PROGRAM

OVERVIEW:

Our university is offering undergraduate course in psychology which will help the students to develop an understanding of psychological methods, research and mental disorders.

We not only provide them with training and teaching but also assist them financially by providing them scholarship in the areas of behavioral sciences, social psychology, neurosciences and counseling.

Previously we were focusing research programs of social, cognitive and biological areas. Today, we are still successfully providing high level of interaction between the students and teachers which helps in the broadening of concepts and knowledge of the students.

Students are our assets. They are welcome and encouraged to carry out innovative and new work throughout their program. As the course curriculum is not extensive and difficult, the students get a great number of opportunities to invest their time and energy for the practical work and research.

We conduct regular seminars and workshops to polish the sills of our students. With our friendly and helping teacher and other staff members the students are able to show and express their talents in front of the work. They are free to make their own working environment.

The environment of the university facilities the learning abilities of the students and help them to gain requirement knowledge.

FUTURE OF PSYCHOLOGY:

Psychology is a vast field with lots of jobs and career opportunities. The graduates can work in hospitals, clinical settings, ngos and different public and private sectors. Graduates can work as counselors, schools psychologist, organizational psychologists and therapists.

After completion of undergraduate program, the student can take admission in graduate courses as well.

TYPES OF COURSES TAUGHT:

We have devised our course curriculum very carefully according to the needs and trends of the society.

The course is made to provide a strong base of psychology to the students. We not only focus on theoretical frame work but also on the research.

Each year we provide advanced seminar for the students which include following areas:

• Neurosciences.
• Psychometrics.
• Psychological testing

Moreover in first year, you will be taught literature regarding psychology. You will be studying history of psychology, different school of thoughts, and brief introduction of different fields of psychology.
